Kartininews.com, KUDUS – Puso assistance from President Jokowi has caused controversy in Gondoharum Village, Jekulo District, Kudus Regency, especially the land that is the responsibility of the Sidodadi farmer group (poktan). There is a rumor circulating that the puso assistance of IDR 8 million per hectare was cut by IDR 6.3 million to only IDR 1.7 million.

The Head of Poktan Sidodadi, Sutarmin, denied this. According to him, there was no unilateral cut from the former President Jokowi's program because it had previously been a mutual agreement.

"I plan to implement the initial agreement of the farmers, so that the assistance is divided equally by all affected farmers," said Sutarmin when met in Dukuh Tompe, Tuesday (7/1/2025).

Sutarmin said that when the flood caused crop failure on the land that was the responsibility of Poktan Sidodadi, the Kudus Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) informed that there would be puso assistance of IDR 8 million per hectare.

"I then conveyed that information to the farmers. Of the total 80 farmers represented by 33 people, all agreed and when the aid has been disbursed it will be divided equally," he explained.

The application for the crop failure land, continued Sutarmin, was approved and the recipients of the aid were 25 hectares of rice fields. On Monday (12/30/2024) last week, the aid had entered the accounts of the 33 farmers.

"However, some farmers did not accept it to be divided equally. They wanted it to remain in accordance with the government's provisions, which is IDR 8 million per hectare. If so, it would not be in accordance with the initial agreement and it would be a shame for the other farmers who were affected," he said.

For information, when 25 hectares of rice plants were approved by the government to receive crop failure assistance, the total money received was IDR 200 million. When the nominal amount is divided equally among all 80 farmers, each farmer will receive IDR 2 million.

Separately, the Head of Gondoharum Village, Kasmiran, said that the agricultural land in his village is approximately 500 hectares, consisting of rice, sugar cane, and secondary crops with 13 farmer groups.

"In 2022, the land that was flooded and failed to harvest was in two hamlets. Tompe Hamlet, whose irrigation is managed by the Sidodadi Farmer Group, and Tampung Hamlet, which is managed by the Sido Makmur Farmer Group," said Kasmiran at the Gondoharum Village Hall, Tuesday (7/1/2025).

Of the two locations, Kasmiran continued, the polemic was in Tompe Hamlet and became the responsibility of the Sidodadi Farmer Group. The reason is, the farmers did not want the assistance to be divided equally. Even though previously there was an agreement to share it equally.

"The total rice plants that failed to harvest in Tompe Hamlet were 150 hectares, but only 25 hectares received crop failure assistance. The intention of the Sidodadi Farmer Group according to the initial agreement was to share the aid equally, but some farmers refused," he explained.

He said that farmers who have land in Dukuh Tompe will be gathered. Because yesterday they also protested and came to the Gondoharum Village Hall.

"Later we will gather all of them. We will find common ground and the best solution for both parties," he added.**
